I am constantly on the lookout for new books to read and sometimes I end up adding an entire series in my TBR pile.  That's just what I did with Her Angel Romance series by Felicity Heaton.  So, for #WriterWednesday, I thought I'd spotlight Felicity Heaton and her most recent addition to the series.

Her Demonic Angel Amazon Product Description:

A demonic angel with a heart of ice, Veiron walks a dark path with vengeance on his mind. Nothing will sway him from his mission to destroy his master... until he risks his life to enter Hell once more to save a mortal female. The fiery beauty makes him burn with hungers he must battle and needs he cannot deny, tempting him to surrender body and soul to her.

Erin is convinced her refusal to do the Devil’s bidding will see her die in a terrifying realm straight out of her nightmares. The last thing she expects is the lethally sensual warrior who breaks into her cell and awakens the darkest desires of her heart and a fierce longing to know the heat of his caress.

Pulled into an incredible world where war is set to ignite and darkness is on the rise, Erin races with Veiron to escape the Devil’s legions in a journey fraught with danger and filled with passion that flares white-hot.

When Erin is faced with a life-shattering realisation and an extraordinary destiny, will their love give them the strength to battle both Heaven and Hell or will they be parted forever?

Death’s Storm

The Divinities, book 2

Release date: November 8, 2012

Over three hundred years ago children were born to an elite group of witches that were unlike any of the other magical children. These children were born with a mark, a living tattoo of a single rose on the inside of the left forearm. They possess natural divine powers. The magical communities, called Covens, believed the children were gifts from the gods and called them The Divinities.

Tagline: He’s her guardian, she’s his storm, and together they spark a desire more dangerous than the evil out to destroy them.

This comes from author Lia Davis.  I've read a few of her novels and am looking forward to this one as well.  I went over to her website (www.AuthorLiaDavis.com) and copied her info to share.  If you're looking for a new favorite author, you should definitely check her out!

I am so excited to reveal the cover for Saving Demeter and to announce that it should be live November 20!  Here is a Six Sentence Sunday taste...

I felt it as soon as I stepped from the alley.  I was not the only immortal moving about the city.

No one noticed me as I followed a group of drunken revelers into a club at the corner, I was easy to miss in my dark clothes and it was just my nature to blend into my surroundings.  As soon as I entered, I spotted the other deity at the bar.

The blond, blue-eyed creature seemed to sense my arrival.  Turning, he looked at me with glowing eyes that would have gone unnoticed by mere mortals.

As an erotica writer, I have to think about this a lot.  I mean what is the point of writing a great erotica story if readers just can't get turned on by the hero.  So, what makes a hero hot?

For me, I'm a little old fashioned.  I fully believe that the eyes are the window to the soul and a man's eyes draw me in.  The eyes can tell so much about a person's mood, desires, and thoughts.  Eyes, to me, are a mirror to the brain which we all know is the #1 erogenous zone!

Second, I have to go for that little touch of mystery or darkness.  That little something extra that lurks just below the surface.

Lastly comes that smoking hot bod!  I think everyone needs a little eye candy.  A broad chest, narrow waist, and packing a little extra in the pants makes for a great combination.

As a reader, what makes a hero hot to you?

I just added another book to my "must read" TBR pile on my Kindle.  The Secret of Ella and Micha is a new book from author Jessica Sorensen that brought us the Fallen Star series.

The Secret of Ella and Micha Amazon Description:
Ella and Micha have been best friends since they were kids. But one tragic night shatters their friendship and their lives forever.

Ella used to be a rule-breaker with fiery attitude who wore her heart on her sleeve. But she left everything behind when she went to college and transformed into someone that follows the rules, keeps everything together, and hides all her problems. But now it's summer break and she has nowhere else to go but home.

Ella fears everything she worked so hard to bury might resurface, especially with Micha living right next door. If Micha tries to tempt the old her back, she knows that it will be hard to resist.

Micha is sexy, smart, confident, and can get under Ella’s skin like no one else can. He knows everything about her, including her darkest secrets. And he’s determined to bring his best friend, and the girl he loves back, no matter what it takes.

Jessica Sorensen Bio from Amazon Author Page:
The New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jessica Sorensen, lives with her husband and three kids in the snowy mountains of Wyoming. When she's not writing, she spends her time reading and hanging out with her family.

I'm looking forward to reading this book and can't wait to see what else s

What makes a good hero?  For me the answer is easy.  I want a hero that is larger than life!  I want a hero that doesn't just take charge, he overwhelms you!  But what does it really mean to have a larger than life hero?

To me, all characters, even heroes, should have flaws.  Sure he can be gorgeous and charming, but it is often our flaws (or what we perceive as flaws or weaknesses) that drive us to action.  So, all characters have to have flaws of some sort.

Heroes should change throughout a story.  They should be full of conflict.  They should grow in some way so that they seem more real.  Who wants to read a story where nothing happens and everything stays the same?  That would be boring to say the least.

My perfect hero would be dark, sexy, with some deep secret, a bit of a temper, but a soft side that only the heroine could uncover.  What's your "perfect hero"?
